Professor Vinson Speaks About Trump’s VP Pick

Donald Trump announced last week that Indiana Gov. Mike Pence would be his running mate, ending months of speculation over who that pick would be .  Furman political science professor Danielle Vinson was quoted in a PBS NewsHour story about Trump’s selection of Pence and how it might affect his chances in the presidential race against Hillary Clinton.  Among the things she had to say: “Trump has claimed he is attracting people who haven’t been participating, and he might be counting on that to expand beyond the typical base.”
