10 a.m.
Guests arrive to campus for the #FurmanEclipse.
11:30 a.m.
The Paladin Stadium gates open. No lawn chairs are allowed inside the stadium.
Noon
Activities fair featuring Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) activities for all ages. The activity area includes paid concessions, special music and water stations. Furman sponsors activities focused on public health, fitness, eye safety, climate science and other topics. Community partners offer demonstrations on robotics, 3-D printing and more.
1 p.m.
Guests make their way into the stadium and to seating on the Visitor’s side for best eclipse viewing.
1:30 p.m.
All attendees are seated in stadium.
1:50 p.m.
Introduction by Furman University Associate Provost for Integrative Science John Wheeler.
Welcome by Furman University President Elizabeth Davis
Solar eclipse narration by Dr. David Moffett, professor and chair of Physics and Furman’s resident astronomer.
