Furman University and Alpha Phi Alpha Greenville Foundation present the annual Joseph Vaughn Oratorical Competition Saturday, Feb. 15, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 400 Hudson Street, in Greenville, South Carolina, 29601.
Geared for local high school students, the competition encourages oratorical skill among students in the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King and Furman’s first African American undergraduate student Joseph Vaughn.
