Faith and Politics lecture

April 25, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

In a nation that is politically polarized, one of the most significant divides among Republicans and Democrats lies with religious viewpoints–Republicans being distinctly more religious (no matter how this is measured) and Democrats more secular. Our speaker, Eric Graben, represents a different perspective–a Democratic who is religious. Graben’s narrative is a personal one. He will speak about the inescapable link between a person’s faith and his or her political views and how to be true to one’s faith while respecting the First Amendment rights of people who do not share one’s faith. Graben offers a perspective on how faith can bring people together instead of dividing them, even if they are people of different faiths.
