Furman University names interim chief as CIO

Taking the helm as Furman University’s Chief Investment Officer, Rob Kenney spoke to Gabby Stranieri of With Intelligence about Furman’s investment strategy for its $839 million endowment – a strategy including increased emphasis on alternatives like hedge funds. In the article, Kenney said, “It’s rewarding to be named the next CIO after 10 years at the university and learning from our previous CIO, not only about portfolio construction and manager selection, but about the governance structure and operational procedures at Furman.”
