Furman math professors help model NCAA Bracket Busters

Once again, math professors Liz Bouzarth, John Harris ’91 and Kevin Hutson have modeled the math that powers the prognostications of college basketball journalists for the NCAA men’s basketball tournament. The Athletic says the Paladin trio helped build a “revamped and improved statistical model” for picking which Cinderellas will be giant killers. Read a 2019 story about the team’s math game.
