Two students with Furman University connections are in the news for having won Southeast Student Production Awards from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences – the same folks who dole out Emmy Awards.

Advised by Mary Sturgill in the Department of Communication Studies, Alexis Hildenbrandt ’22 and Luke Harvin ’21 worked as one-person crews for their documentaries, handling video, sound, editing and narration, using equipment from the department’s media lab.
