A special FDOC edition of DINformation to kick-off the spring semester! Welcome back and good luck as classes get started this week!

BORED Games

Bored and looking for something to do this week? FUSAB and SGA have partnered to purchase board games and puzzles for students to use while we are in this low-to-no contact phase. The best part? You get to keep the games! Students must sign up to receive a game in advance and will be able to pick up their game on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. outside of the Dining Hall. Click here to reserve your game! Additional information can be found on syncDIN. Please note: Games will be limited to one per residence hall room and/or apartment.

Virtual Fitness Classes

Join us for yoga on Wednesday, Jan. 20 at 6 p.m. and Friday, Jan. 22 at 10 a.m. or Zumba on Saturday, Jan. 23 at 10 a.m. Zoom links will be posted on the syncDIN event listing on the day of the class.

Coloring Contest

Take some time this weekend to color! Follow the Office of Student Involvement and Inclusion on Instagram and tag us in a picture with your finished product(s) for a chance to win some fun prizes. Click here to access the coloring pages!

Hulk SMASH!

Now that your friendly neighborhood E-Sports tournament operators are back on campus, they’re hard at work planning an impromptu Super Smash Bros. tournament with prizes for this Saturday (Saturday! Saturday!). Stay tuned to the OSII Instagram and syncDIN for more details soon.

Fraternity Recruitment Kick-Off

Join the Interfraternity Council for the Spring 2021 Men’s Recruitment Kick-Off on Sunday, Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. to learn more about the fraternity community, upcoming recruitment events, and more! Please register in advance by clicking here. You will receive a link for Sunday’s event after registering.

From the Office of Spiritual Life

A Mourning Ritual

As humans, we all need space to grieve and process our loss, and the world has rarely been slowed enough to give us that space. While the Office of Spiritual Life hoped to have an in-person vigil this month to mourn a year of COVID, the virus continues to make such gatherings unsafe. They’ve created a ritual for this time that you can participate in at home, alone, with your family, in your residence hall room, over Zoom or FaceTime, or with your roommates. It is intended to be used by people of various faiths or no religious identity. Please click here to access the ritual.

Thresholds Small Group

Join us for a student small group that will explore a variety of spiritual practices from many traditions, cultivating our inner lives for greater peace and wholeness. The group will meet weekly for four weeks starting the week of Jan. 25 at a time agreed upon by the participants. Remote and in-person meeting opportunities will be available and no preparation will be required. Interested or have questions? Please contact Tiffany Cox.

Stay syncDIN!

Check out the syncDIN events calendar for the latest student org events and other happenings around campus!

Beginning next week, we will return to sending DINformation bi-weekly on Thursdays. Have something you would like to be included? Be sure to register your event on syncDIN and complete this form.
