Polls show Democratic challenger Jaime Harrison is neck and neck with incumbent Republican Senator Lindsey Graham for the U.S. Senate race in South Carolina. CNN National Political Writer Brandon Tensley, a 2012 Furman alumnus, writes a piece for CNN Politics. He reaches out to Furman’s Danielle Vinson ’89, a politics and international affairs professor, who said, “Harrison’s campaign illustrates that Democrats can’t just give up on South Carolina. Even in the short term, his presence in the race will help some congressional candidates.”

A German studies and political science graduate, Tensley received an a master’s in European politics and society from the University of Oxford.
