Singer-songwriter, Emily Scott Robinson, a 2009 Furman University Spanish and history alumna, is featured in Yes! Weekly, a publication out of her hometown of Greensboro, North Carolina. The story describes her cross-country journey collecting material for her music – in an RV with her husband. “Chasing big dreams while living in small spaces,” Robinson released her first album in 2016. Inspiration and creative funding led to her second, “Traveling Mercies” (2019),  which made it to No. 21 on Rolling Stone’s Top 40 Country and Americana Albums of 2019. The track “The Dress,” took the No. 13 spot on Rolling Stone’s 25 Best Country and Americana Songs of 2019.

Robinson’s work can be heard on digital platforms such as Spotify and Amazon Music. She has nearly 200,000 listeners on Spotify. Her ballad, “Better With Time,” has over 2 million listeners.
