Furman: ‘A Tree Campus USA’

tree campus usa
For the 11th straight year, Furman is named a Tree Campus USA. Furman's Willis Arboretum is also a Level 1 Arboretum through ArbNet's Accreditation Program.

Furman’s 11th straight designation as a Tree Campus USA by the Arbor Day Foundation captured the attention of journalist Matt Hogan of 106.3 WORD. He sat down with Furman Associate Director of Sustainability Assessment Laura Bain and Director of Landscape & Construction Scot Sherman. They described what it takes to keep Furman both sustainable and beautiful in a cover story that appeared on the 106.3 WORD website.
