A most impressive start

Sophomore forward Clay Mounce has helped Furman to a 5-0 record at the beginning of the season.

One by one, Furman is picking off teams from last year’s Final Four and proving to be the surprise story of the first month of the college basketball season. Last Saturday, the Paladins stunned defending national champion and eighth-ranked Villanova, 76-68. A week prior to that, Furman defeated Loyola-Chicago, 60-58. In between those two games, Furman guard Jordan Lyons tied a NCAA record with 15 3-pointers and scored 54 points in a win over North Greenville. You can read more about Furman’s impressive 5-0 start to the 2018-19 season at:
