Welcome back: Normal schedule expected Monday

Furman students will be returning to campus over the weekend after the holiday break. Classes begin on Monday, Jan. 8.

Furman welcomes students returning this weekend and expects to be open regular hours for the beginning of classes on Monday.

Campus housing opens at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Signs will provide directions for returning students.

The National Weather Service is forecasting the possibility of light freezing rain for the morning of Monday, with the precipitation changing to rain in the afternoon. The high is expected to reach the upper 40s. Faculty and staff should use caution when commuting to campus.

The university will continue to monitor the weather and provide an update late Sunday afternoon at news.furman.edu.

Students, faculty and staff will receive text and email alerts if the university’s operating schedule should change. Up-to-date information will also be posted on Furman’s Twitter and Facebook pages.
