Two named to All-Southern Conference Faculty and Staff Team

Furman professor Danielle Vinson and exercise specialist Mickey McCauley have been named to the All-Southern Conference Faculty and Staff Team.

Vinson, a professor of politics and international affairs, and McCauley, a long-time staff member in the Furman Fitness Center and volunteer assistant track coach, represent Furman on the team, which is comprised of two selections from each of the league’s 10 member schools.

While the selections were left up to each institution’s discretion, the recipients all shared the common characteristics of demonstrated service to the institution and contributions to campus life and the local community. The honored faculty members have demonstrated strong contributions to teaching, research and/or service, while staff members are recognized for bringing out the best in others and creating conditions for success.

Each member of the All-SoCon Faculty and Staff Team will be presented a plaque and honored at a home basketball game at his or her institution.
