Condé Nast Traveler readers cast so many votes for their favorite cities, the editors had to split the list into two. And Greenville, the humble home of Furman University, makes the 2017 Readers Choice Awards for the best 15 cities with populations under one million. CNT editors say Greenville is “on the cusp of stardom,” with a burgeoning foodie culture. The magazine notes soon-to-open Husk, and Greenville’s farm-to-table scene, which is “rising to the ranks of Asheville.” As always, Greenville’s signature Falls Park also wins praise.
