Yes, it’s that time of year again

The 2017-18 academic year will officially begin on Tuesday, Aug. 22 with the first day of classes.

Furman University’s 2017-18 academic year will officially get underway Tuesday, Aug. 22 when students attend their first day of classes.

Approximately 720 freshmen will report to campus Friday, Aug. 18, while the rest of the university’s 2,700 students will begin arriving on Sunday, Aug. 20.

Furman will hold its opening convocation Thursday, Sept. 7 at 10 a.m. in McAlister Auditorium.

The fall term ends Dec. 5, while spring term begins Jan. 8 and ends Apr. 24.  Commencement will be held Saturday, May 5.  The May Experience term will run May 9-30.
