High school grads chart a path to medical school

The Furman University-USC School of Medicine Greenville Direct Entry Program is an outgrowth of the long-standing relationship between Furman and Greenville Health System (GHS).

On June 29, Furman announced the names of the five South Carolina high school graduates who will enroll at the university in August as the first participants in the Furman University-University of South Carolina (USC) School of Medicine Greenville Direct Entry Program.

In a report by the Greenville News, Paul Catalana, associate dean for student affairs and admissions for the USC School of Medicine Greenville, and Brad Pochard, Furman associate vice president for enrollment and dean of admissions, discuss the opportunities that this partnership brings to Furman and to South Carolina.
