The Furman golf course has not only been home for golfing alums like Betsy King, Beth Daniel, Brad Faxon and Dottie Pepper, it has also tested other collegiate players and future professionals like Davis Love III and David Duval. Now the golf course will serve as one of the host sites for the 2017 BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX, a Web.com Tour event held in Greenville each spring. In a Greenville News article announcing the 2017 dates for the tournament, BMW Charity Pro-Am president Bob Nitto said adding the Furman course to the rotation was an easy call. “The Furman course is very cool, and the changes they’ve made to it are outstanding from a spectator’s standpoint,” he said. “It’s a very walkable course for anybody.”
