The Furman Advantage

President Elizabeth Davis
President Elizabeth Davis spoke about The Furman Advantage when it was unveiled on Oct. 5.

Launched in October with $47 million from The Duke Endowment of Charlotte, N.C., The Furman Advantage guarantees every student the opportunity to engage in real-world experiences that connect back to what they learn in the classroom.  “We’re not guaranteeing jobs,” Furman President Elizabeth Davis said in an interview with The Charlotte Observer. “But we can guarantee experiences and connectivity.”
