According to many news reports, Melania Trump’s Republican National Convention speech sounded a lot like Michelle Obama’s address at the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Were parts of the speech plagiarized? WYFF-TV asked Furman philosophy professor Aaron Simmons to explain what sort of reaction he would have if one of his students were to turn in work that was so similar to another source.
