Jim David has appeared on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and "Tough Crowd With Colin Quinn."

A veteran of 30 years of stand-up comedy, Furman alum Jim David ’76 returns to his hometown of Asheville, N.C., June 23 for a one-night only show, “Stand Up for Equality (and Show Tunes!).” David has enjoyed a productive career since graduating from Furman with a degree in drama, having appeared on national television programs like “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” ABC’s “The View,” and Comedy Central’s “Tough Crowd With Colin Quinn.” The Citizen-Times caught up with David before his upcoming show at the Asheville Community Theatre.
