Daydreaming Your Way to Better Grades?

For those college students who aren’t getting enough sleep as they prepare for finals and the end of the semester, there may be some good news.  A recent study at Furman suggests that non-sleep resting states may facilitate memory consolidation in a manner similar to that experienced in sleep.  The study, conducted by Furman psychology professor Dr. Erin Wamsley and her students, was featured in Psychology Today.  The study itself was published in the journal, Neurobiology of Learning and Memory.
