On March 8, PBS NewsHour broadcast a lengthy story about Greenville, S.C., and how community officials have worked together to make it one of the most prosperous and dynamic cities in America. Danielle Vinson, a political science professor at Furman, and Chandra Dillard, Furman’s community relations director and a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives, were part of the story as they talked about the political climate of the area and what has allowed the city to overcome any hurdles it might face.
