Jim Guth on evangelicals’ fascination with Donald Trump

Furman University Political Science professor James Guth weighs in on why Donald Trump continues to win the hearts of the religious right. In National Public Radio’s It’s all Politics segment, Dr. Guth predicts Trump’s appeal will wane. “Some of that fascination with Trump will eventually wear off once [the evangelical community] become[s] more aware of his downside,” he says.
