Furman philosophy professor J. Aaron Simmons, Ph.D., has been named to the inaugural All-Southern Conference Faculty Team, the league announced Monday. Representatives from all 10 member schools were recognized by the league.

The recipients shared demonstrated service to the institution, a proven record of high scholastic achievement among students, recognition for a research project or written academic piece; and contributions to campus life and the local community.
