blake-reed-smallIn the Heller Service Corps, there are approximately 1,200 Furman students working all year long with more than 60 agencies in the Greenville community. From serving as mentors to at-risk students to helping adults overcome language barriers, there is no shortage of opportunities for Furman’s students to get involved in meaningful service projects in the community. Blake Reed, student director of the Heller Service Corps, talks about what the organization means to him and other Furman volunteers in an op-ed for The Greenville News.
