Art by Class of 2015 on display in Thompson Gallery

Art by 11 Furman University seniors will be on display through May 9 in Thompson Gallery of the Roe Art Building on campus. Thompson Gallery hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and for this exhibition, 9 a.m.-noon, Saturday, May 9. A reception honoring the artists is Friday, April 17, at 7 p.m. in the Roe Art Building. The exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.

One Screw Loose is a collection of works based on the artists’ own experiences. Using mixed media and mixed processes, the artists capture personal struggles, childhood memories, and harmony with nature among other themes. Selected works are available for sale.

Pleasant), Christie Hoff (Orlando, Fla.), Derek Nelsen (Greenville), Tas Peeples (Rock Hill), Sarah Rasmussen (Lawrenceville, Ga.), Anna Riethman (Greenville), Olivia Schichtel (Lakeland, Fla.), Kimberly Sitter (Irmo), and Madeline Westfall (Cincinnati, Ohio).
