Jazz Ensemble and Combos in concert April 10

jazz rehearsal, sizedThe Furman University Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Combos will present a concert Friday, April 10, at 8 p.m. in Daniel Recital Hall on campus.

A Sound Quality Concert Series event, the concert is open to the public. Admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and $5 for students. The concert is part of Furman’s Cultural Life Program.

Dr. Matt Olson, Professor of Saxophone and Director of Jazz Studies at Furman, will conduct the Jazz Ensemble and Combos in a variety of music by Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Miles Davis, and a number of standards from the Great American Songbook. Numerous student soloists will be featured.
