mary-mitchell-campbellFurman graduate Mary-Mitchell Campbell is a Broadway musical director who’s regularly balancing shows and benefit concerts while also serving as founder and executive director of ASTEP, a nonprofit that works internationally to change the lives of underprivileged children through art. Which begs the question, “Where does she find the time to do it all?” Theatre Mania.com in New York City caught up with Campbell in an effort to get an answer.

A 1996 Furman graduate, Campbell is a leading musical arranger and orchestrator in New York.  She won a Drama Desk Award in 2007 for orchestrations for the revival of the Broadway musical “Company,” and was music director for the Broadway production of “The Addams Family.” She has served on the faculties of NYU, Boston College and Juilliard.
