Furman to open at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14

Furman University will resume its normal operating schedule at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14. Please use caution moving about campus Friday, and when traveling to the university.

The campus remains closed for Thursday, Feb. 13 because of inclement weather and hazardous travel conditions.  All day and evening classes are cancelled.

The following campus facilities are closed: Barnes & Noble Bookstore, Post Office and Print Express (P2X), James B. Duke Library, Student Health Service, Paladen, Paddock, Einstein’s, Child Development Center.

Here are the operating hours for the campus facilities that will remain open on Thursday:

Dining Hall: Open from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm (brunch); 5 pm to 7 pm (dinner).

Trone Student Center: Open from 8:30 am to 10 pm.

Physical Activities Center: Open from 10 am to 6 pm.

Duke Library’s 24-hour Study Room: Accessible via card access

RA Offices in South Housing, Lakeside Housing and North Village: Open 9 am to midnight

In case of an emergency, students should contact University Police at 864-294-2111.
