The Furman Rugby Club, the university’s most popular and successful sports club, invites new players to join the team this fall.
The squad practices Monday, Wednesday and Friday 4-5:30 p.m. at Roberts Rugby Field, which is next to Paladin Stadium. No experience is required.
Furman Rugby is one of the best small college rugby programs in the nation. The club has captured three national championships and has been runner-up twice. The team has won five South championships.
The team plays a six-game regular season in the fall. The first contest is September 21 against Western Carolina.
