Furman athletics take national stage

A number of Furman coaches and athletes have garnered national exposure over the past few months as members of U.S. national teams for their respective sports. Paladin assistant women’s lacrosse coach Amber Falcone notched a second stint as a member of the U.S. Women’s National Team, while Paladin head men’s lacrosse coach Richie Meade serves as head coach of the 2014 U.S. men’s national senior team. Paladin head track and field coach Robert Gary, who competed in the 1996 and 2004 Olympic Games, recently coached Team USA to a silver medal in the senior men’s 12-kilometer race at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships.
