A passion for putting students first
Furman graduate Kimberly E. Freeman has been named Lexington 1’s District Teacher of the Year in South Carolina. She was formally recognized at the annual Teacher of the Year Celebration, and will now compete for the state Teacher of the Year title. Freeman, who graduated from Furman in 2004 with a degree in education and a concentration in classical languages, has served as head of Lexington Middle School’s World Language Department since 2006 and specializes in Latin.
