Commencement moved to Timmons Arena

Due to inclement weather and the forecast for continuing rain, Furman’s commencement exercises scheduled for the Eugene Stone Soccer Stadium this evening will be held in Timmons Arena.

Overflow seating is available in McAlister Auditorium, where the ceremony will be broadcast live via streaming video. Commencement, which begins at 7:30 p.m., will also be streamed live on the Furman website (www.furman.edu).

Degree candidates should report to the floor level entrance on the north end of the arena (closest to the football stadium scoreboard) no later than 6:30 p.m. in preparation for the event. Before departing for the arena, degree candidates should provide their family and friends with rain tickets they received at commencement rehearsal.

Seating is limited, so we ask for your patience and cooperation as we prepare for the ceremony. We expect the main doors for all guests to the venue will open at 6 p.m.
