Furman defeated Lander 25-8 Sunday to move to 2-0 in the spring season.

The game, rescheduled due to referee shortage, was scrappy during the first half as both teams attempted to find rhythm.  At the break, Furman held an 8-0 advantage.

The Paladins managed to find a bit of rhythm in the second half.

Freshman Nick Rossano led the Paladins with two tries. Pearson Fowler and Trent Pannell, both sophomores, added one try each. Turner Morsches added one conversion and one penalty kick.

The Paladins are idle the next three weeks due to spring break.
