Reb and Lilly

Furman sophomore Reb Boyd has a dog named Lilly.  But Lilly is no ordinary dog, and she goes everywhere he goes.  Reb has type 1 diabetes, and Lilly is trained to detect if his blood sugar is about to become dangerously low or high.  SCETV did a piece on service dogs in South Carolina, and Reb and Lilly were featured in the program on The Big Picture.

“Lilly lives in the dorm and goes everywhere with me, including the dining hall,  library and class,” Reb says.  “She saves my life every day, and I probably wouldn’t have made it through college without her.”
