Furman Politics and International Affairs Professor Jim Guth was quoted in an article in The New York Times about how Jerry Falwell Jr., chancellor of one of the nation’s largest Christian colleges, came to support the presidential candidacy of Donald Trump. Guth, who joined the Furman faculty in 1973, is one of the nation’s top experts on the religious right.
