Professor wins TR council seat
The Furman community knows her as Assistant Professor of Health Sciences. Council member is her new claim to fame as of March 20 when Criss won a seat on the Travelers Rest city council during a special election. Criss defeated opponent Robert Rattray by 94 votes in an election seeking to fill the unexpired term of Brandy Amidon, who was elected mayor. The Greenville News covered the story.
