Heavenly Music in Boston

Furman alum Justin Blackwell ’05 serves as associate director of music and principal organist for Boston University’s Marsh Chapel. His performances are a regular part of the well-attended Sunday morning services that are also broadcast live on WBUR, BU’s National Public Radio station. BU Today profiled Blackwell, who holds music degrees from Furman and BU, where he earned a master’s in choral conducting. But the Furman-BU music connection runs deeper than Blackwell. Fellow Furman alum Scott Allen Jarrett ’97 also serves as Marsh Chapel music director.
