Jamming for a cause

Furman graduate Charles Hedgepeth wants his music to be more than a form of entertainment; he hopes it can be a tool to help others. Hedgepeth, a singer and guitarist with the band The Work, takes his musical talents to the Handlebar stage every year to make a difference. The occasion is The Work’s 12th annual Christmas Jam, a concert to benefit Greenville’s Meals on Wheels. Hedgepeth, who graduated from Furman in 1999 with a degree in political science, was profiled in a Greenville News article.
